Better than last year?
Discussion
I thought so. Having the Porsche display (for which Brownie points to the PCGB) gave it focus, which it lacked last year. Not sure I'd think it was worth the ticket money just by itself (assuming it's still £32) - indeed, I come to the Autosport Show, and the PH show is a nice bonus.
Although it was completely spoiled by the horrid font on the information sheet on Gaffer's Sag.

PH show was much better this year. It really felt like it was incorporated with the rest of the show rather than a late addition in a back room.
Good to see some fantastic motors parked up in there, terrific displays and complete kudos to the shop where i picked up a few items.
I go for the Autosport show so the PH bit is a nice extra, this year much sweeter than last. Well done guys and see you in 2010!

Really enjoyed the show
But there were too many Porsches and not enough TVRs OK, I'm biased but there weren't as many TVRs there as last year. Didn't even see a Chim or a Tuscan. Perhaps next year there should be a proper TVR display?
Had great day though!
There were loads of Porkers there as they were celebrating 50 years of Porkers!!!But there were too many Porsches and not enough TVRs OK, I'm biased but there weren't as many TVRs there as last year. Didn't even see a Chim or a Tuscan. Perhaps next year there should be a proper TVR display?

I always go to Autosport but as mentioned before P/H part makes a good extra and it was better this year.

Excellent show; the Porsche display was just pure porno! My personal fave was the mica blue(?) Carrera RS
Big thanks to the PH team for making it happen and to the Swissvax Team for doing a great job on our cars I know last year was difficult being the first show and there some issues, but it shows you guys learnt from that and you've done a great job!
See you next year!

id say it was better than last year,i had two of my cars there but i thought the ph owners didnt get much for going to the trouble of displaying their cars, there could of at least been a hospitality suite where you could sit down and get free tea and coffee for all the trouble,i mean it cost me a fair bit to get one of my cars there on a low loader as well as missing half a day off work

have to agree, it would have been nice to have somewhere to sit down while we were waiting to pick cars up etc. Richair said:

I know there were time contraints with what the swissvax guys could do with the cars, I wasn't that impressed, the 8 icon cars were supposed to have full exterior and interior detailing, but I know for sure the interior of my car wasn't touched, there were still water marks in the door shuts. It also said on the email that they would be looking after the cars for the full weekend, the black M3 evo was covered in white dust so doubt that had been touched again since wednesday. I guess too much work again but not enough timeI know what you're saying Matt (mine had a few dirty spots that hadn't been touched), but from what I gather the Swissvax guy's assumed they would have more time to deal with the cars. However, unfortunately as is usually the case with these things time was against them and the cars didn't get the level of treatment they would have liked.
But all things considered, I thought the cars looked pretty good! Apart from my filth windscreen that is haha.
Im sure that Garlick and Co. will be taking notes of comments and this will evolve with practice until a balance is met Maybe a 'goodybag' or something for car owners would be a good idea for next time around...

Overall I thought the PH display was much much better than last year. It was a fine assembly of machinery, especially so considering the freezing temperatures and the rail chaos of the Wednesday. Intermingling it with the Car Clubs was a good idea for a Hall that otherwise is out on a limb.
Next year, could there be a hospitality area or a focal point where we could all meet and introduce ourselves....
...oh, and some polish would have been nice!! Will Autoglym come to rescue the PH red faces again.
I understand only the Subarus and the Iconic cars (ie those who arrived first) got the promised Swissvaz treatment. Why?

To be honest I was a bit disappointed with the PH Members Cars Display.
Quality was fab and I was impressed with Tony for two cars, but I thought quantity was lacking....
My thoughts for the future would be a much larger area for PHers cars, larger area for washing/preparation prior to display with no reliance on Swissvax, or anyone else.
It's a members car, in what condition they choose to display it is up to them.
Just my two-penneth - Discuss........
