Can I ask why I need to pay a £2 fee per ticket that I've printed off at home?

Why do they do it though? If I go to Tesco I don't get charged a "checkout fee"

I agree, it's hugely annoying and feels a rip off.

In fact, I was on the site last night about to buy two tickets, and felt so annoyed at this extra charge I just shut the browser and didn't bother.

They do it because its a free £2 per ticket. My local theatre+guild hall seems to have adopted it too, highly annoying.

Hello Mr Venue, I have a fab website that get 4 Zillion hits per hour and I would like to be able to sell some tickets for your event.

Hello Mr FabSite, I have fantastic event with some really nice shiny cars. but I can't seem to sell enough tickets to make a profit.

Mr Venue, no problem I'll shift loads of them for you, but I'm not in business for the love of it, I need to make a wee bit too, say £2 a ticket to cover the cost of running my website

OK Mr FabSite, I get my ticket sales and earn a crust, you sell some tickets and make a crust, lots more of our customers get to visit the event and look at the shiny cars.

Thank you my son.......

Just charge £31 for the basic ticket then, in my line of work we don't charge passengers an extra fee for the privilege of paying for a ticket. Adding the extra is just trying to make the tickets appear cheaper at first glance, and I find it a little dishonest when ticketing firms do this.

Just like any booking fee...

the works is when your charged £2 booking fee, plus £2 postage and packaging... per ticket. and they all come together in one envalope, with a 2nd class stamp on it.

At least you got a stamp out of the deal, I've actually saved them the expense of printing, dispatching and posting the tickets yet I still get charged?

Not a word from Haymarket on this yet either you notice.

Simple, pay it and go, or don't pay it and stay at home.

Sadly, the way of the world.

sadly only because people bend over and pay it.

Charge me £10 ticket plus £2 booking fee i feel ripped off

Charge me £12 and i'm paying £12 a ticket.

Do i really need to know how it's split? it's not like i've got a way of not paying it.

And just advertise it for £12 a ticket in the first place. I expected better than this from Haymarket.

Agree totally with what has been said but its more Haymarket than just PH you owt to moaning about they are after all the Bosses running it. Granted you free to moan through PH smile

Seems to be the way of the world nowadays, they split everything up now. i.e flights for example you used to just pay one higher price and that was it...now its split into costs for how much bagagge etc you take on..taxes etc etc
