PH Car Show 2009: Show cars needed
Discussion
Hi Ladies and Gents
I am in the process of gathering 60 of the best PH cars for display at the 2009 PistonHeads Performance Car Show and I'm desperate to get hold of a variety of some top class PH owner cars. We would need the car for 5 days (7-11 Jan) at the NEC in Birmingham.
We have teamed up with valet company Swissvax who will be looking after the cars for the duration. They will polish the bodywork, black the tyres and shiny the windows and generally make sure each PHer's car looks in tip-top shape.
Furthermore, all the cars on display will be cordoned off from the public so nobody will be climbing in or touching the cars. In return for showing your car you will receive 2 passes that are valid for the entire four-day period.
If any of you have a car that could part with for the above dates, please send details (with lo-res photo)to showyourcar@pistonheads.com and i'll send more details.
Thank you,
Ian Tonkin

Hi, got a mail from you guys re showing my car as per last year. Not sure if the offer still stands as the GT3 has been sold. It has however been replaced with something far more interesting….a 1985 Mini Mayfair with a GSXR engine in the back.
Great Fun and very fast….took it Super Car Sunday earlier in the year to do Sporting Bear rides. Part of the exhaust fell off so I entered it for the loudest car….came third. How the crowd love the old Mini. More attention given to this car than the GT3 ever had. Not sure if this is the sort of car that fits the show.

Hi
I have a 2004 TVR T350t with 10,000 mile on the clock and is in stunning condition, even though i do use it every day, it has featured in a double spread in the TVR mag a few months ago. you can see a pick on my profile if you are interested and i can send hundreds more that were done by a professional for the mag shoot.
Thanks
Stephen

Really - well i was kind enough to show my Sagaris last year, (80quid in fuel) day off work, getting someone to pick me up and drop me off to collect it a few days later, and guess what it hadnt been detailed at all, neither had the majority of cars.I am in the process of gathering 60 of the best PH cars for display at the 2009 PistonHeads Performance Car Show and I'm desperate to get hold of a variety of some top class PH owner cars. I was well pissed off, several emails to PH organisers but no reply.
The PH show was crap anyway, all the cars shoe horned in one corner of the furthest hall
Good Morning Ian,
We corresponded some months ago with your last email advising that you had " pencilled in" my Venturi. When might we know if you want our cars?
Is there any plan to enable an A4 write-up to be displayed with the car? Last year I noticed most people meandered around a couple of the stands of PH cars, sniffed and then moved back to the main events. A write-up might create more interest in the display and gather their attention beyond the sniff!
