Tell Us What You Think Of The PH Show?

We want to know your thoughts and suggestions on the PistonHeads Show to make sure 2009 is bigger and better

In the wake of the success of the 2008 PistonHeads Show we are now working on making sure next year’s will be even better. We hope to have more metal, more stands and even more PHers to have a natter with.

The PH Show ’09 takes place on January 8 to 11 at Birmingham's NEC and last year we had a huge turnout of PHers. The main draw of the event is an incredible selection of the best members’ cars laid out across the NEC.

To help us ensure that the Show goes from strength to strength PH is looking for your views and suggestions. By clicking below you can find a simple questionaire that should take no more than a minute to fill in. You can be totally anonymous if you like – all we want is your views on the show past and future. We appreciate your help and look forward to seeing you at the Show in ’09.

I take it this was the PH show which was run with Autosport? Loved it this year and will be trying my hardest to go next year...

Yup, was about the best show I have been to. The mix of metal was perfect from my point of view, new cars are great and all that but seeing all Supercars together in one place young or old was stunning IMO. The live show was good too.
Could possibly do with more babes LOL.

didn't go last year as was working in China, but as a suggestion:

How about having rides in cars? I went to a show (Classic Sports or Classic Motorsport show or something, i forget) where you paid an amount of money and got taken for a ride on the roads around NEC in some nice cars. I went for Shelby Mustang GT350, Shelby Cobra 427 and Lancia Stratos replica.

The money went to a children's charity.

I loved it last year had a great choice of cars and far superior to the motor show for proper petrol heads in my opinion. However would like if could actually get inside more cars as the majority were sectioned of although last year did manage to get in a countach in the coys auction that was running along side. Apart from that more of the same and will be certainly visting again this yearsmile

Really? I felt that it was the AutoSport show with an area for PistonHeader's cars in the corner, a small PistonHeads stand and a random smattering of PistonHeads logos around the place.

There was very little at the show that represented "PistonHeads" as such for me.

Sorry to be a little negative. frown

No fair comment I suppose, but the few shows I have been to previously have been mainly full of snooty sales reps who wont let you within spitting distance of cars - Ford at the NEC spring to mind where a few years ago they where stopping you from getting near their Focus unless you where a previous model owner...LOL, they must be kidding themselves, its hardly a premium model that you may damage - we got on the TVR stand without a second question asked the same year and got nearer to a Ferrari than to the Ford

I thought the atmosphere at PH was great personally and didn't feel like just one big advert like a normal show is. Let's face it, most of the shows you are paying to get into a car showroom and be bombarded with adverts...I personally feel that they shouldn't expect you to pay for that, so many of them are so hands off I may as well look at pictures of the cars on the net.

That's The Sporting Bears Motor Club doing "Dream Rides". Talk to them and they may do it for PH, too...

+1

I went to Autosport. Without that, the PH show would have been pretty poor.

Was hoping for something else. But it was nice to meet a couple of new faces and chat to Mrs Trackside.

You know, I really do feel bad for posting that. PistonHeads has been part of my life for around 7 years, which is a long time.

But unfortunately it really is how I felt about the show. frown

Another here, a real let down. Not worth it on it's own. Felt sorry for the people that put in the effort to get their cars there and they just appeared dumped in the corner. People going round thought it was fine to touch them, as their was very little indication (if any) that these cars were owned by normal people.
