You're right, it is a Venturi, actually a 300 Atlantique, one of 12 RHD made out of 45 in total, so that's why you probably haven't seen one before! The red one is even more exclusive being the only RHD 400GT Series 2 made.

I wouldn't have thought it much of a problem not being roped off until a couple of years ago at the London MotorShow on the PH stand. We had an Elise on the stand.
People would actually come over to the car, sit smack bang in the middle of the bonnet with buttoned jeans on to have their picture taken with it It wasn't just one inconsiderate wolly either, it was a surprising amount.
Having been there for 4 full days (Ted was there for 14 ) I was interested to see people's reactions and the way they walked around a sports car. Truly astonishing the ignorance and crassness of some - and, let us not forget, they were at a car show so surely they must have some level of appreciation for cars! Apparently not.
Ropes are a must (for two uses....)

nothing surprises me about the general public, and to a certain extent i know something will happen to someones car over the weekend (be it valve caps/finger marks etc)
