Hi All,

I've added this thread in addition to the post on the cars at the show thread for visibility

I'm taking the beemer to the show tomorrow but I'm having some problems getting some insurance to cover it whilst it's there!

Admiral, who I'm insured with at the moment, won't cover it whilst she's there. Not a problem I thought as Footman James were mentioned in the show cars thread that they would provide cover but I've just spoken to them and they don't have a policy for this.

Can anyone help and recommend a company to try? I'm just after a 5 day policy to cover the car at the show

Thanks in advance

Paul

I had problems too (with First Alternative)...

I decided to cancel my current policy and go with Direct Line - who would cover me after much qustion answering! I did have to pay a cancellation penalty with First Alternative of £20 - but no great loss really.

One thing you should also know is that I only managed to find people willing to cover me for 12months...

My underwriter is NIG, they came back with an ok and no cost (providing I hold the keys).

I had the same issue with Admiral. I think I might try again tonight and explain things a bit clearer.

Any idea's what you'll do if it's a no go? I've mailed a few insurance companys this afternoon and I'll let you know if I have any joy.

I'm sure there won't be any problems but it would be nice to have the piece of mind smile

I spoke to Footman James who cover my car and they said I was covered. They did say that any problems should be covered by the NEC or the orgasnisers insurance policy and that it is unlikely you should actually need to claim against the car policy in the event of the car being damaged whilst at the show.
