PistonHeads at The Performance Car Show / ASI 2016
Discussion
Hi All,
After a few delays and logistical issues we're pleased to now be able to confirm that the Pie and Piston pub will be opening its doors once again at The Performance Car Show / Autosport International in 2016.
Just like last year the Pie and Piston is the best place to come and hang out, meet other PHers and check out some precious metal we've assembled for your viewing pleasure. We'll also be selling merchandise this year, so make sure you pop by and stock up on stickers, t shirts and mugs!
Alongside this we've also assembled a "hot hatch hall of fame" so you can check out some legendary hot hatches and have your say on which is the best ever.
And if that's not enough, for the first time ever we're also hosting our very own race in the live action arena. Being PH we felt the best thing to do was buy a load of Sheds of the Week that have featured over the past few months and have ourselves a demolition derby...
Last but not least, if any of you are members of the PH board, we're hosting a board meeting on the Saturday of the show. This allows people to help shape future developments of the website and review upcoming projects etc.
So, all in all there is a lot happening as we hope to see a lot of PHers at the show!

No chance of Pistonheads parking like in 2014?
I'm afraid not, that is not on the table as last time the NEC simply charged us (well, Autosport International) the parking that they missed out on... so it cost them quite a bit of money and they're not willing to repeat it.JD PH said:

Thats really crappy of them. So all PHers to go on the train to boycott the NEC parking? LukeSi said:

And exaggerated by having a Pub at the event so you don't drive there or back.Ohh so Car Orientated.
I would have thought Parking would have been more Car Enthusiast related than a Bar.

I went to the NEC classic in november, and our hotel receptionist said a lot of people park for £6 at the NEC railway station (apparently a 5 minute walk away). As it was raining and we were sharing costs, we couldn't be bothered, but it could be an option for some.
£6...on Sat/Sun. Weekdays are £9 so if you're going on the trade days, may as well just park at NEC.sonicbloo said:

+ the walk is actually indoors. Imagine walking to that far flung departure gate at an airport, its like that.I tend to agree with most opinions on this thread.
Sorry but this years show has to be a joke, £35 to get in, £12 to park and god knows how much for some lunch.
All PH can do is say "we will be there with a pub" wake up Ph and smell the coffee this is not going to make people visit the show. Aslo whilst I am ranting, the amount of bloody ads on this website is crazy ( I know you need revenue etc) takes so long to load
Cheers.....Tony..

Hearing there are no Promo Girls at the Show this year?
Can someone tell us why?
There are promo girls on the rockingham, Silverstone, ginetta and maxxis stands, fail to see the point myself. Sure they all look pretty and are no doubt happy to be there earning good money but their presence on the stand doesnt influence my decision to attend events or which tyres I buy. Can someone tell us why?
