can anyone say or have pics of any of the simulator racing or gaming type things they have on display that you can have a go on?

thanks

I'm not into this sort of thing at all, but there certainly was one on the Motor Sport stand and I'm sure I saw a couple of others as well.

I went on Friday which was a trade day and so there didn't seem to be much of a queue, it'll be much busier today and tomorrow

I wasn't paying too much attention but there were quite a lot of driving simulation setups. One of them looked like a 3-D type virtual reality thing with glasses rather than screen. Another one had an enormous wraparound screen with a racing seat that moved around to simulate being in the actual car.
On one of the stands there was a competition for doing lap times around Brands Hatch, but I don't even remember what the prize was.

There was one massive one, possibly with two projectors and a few smaller ones (but still big!). They looked good until we noticed that the price tag started at around 8k for a 'pod' only and then up to around 26k or possibly north of 30k for a more complicated / immersive one..! All plus VAT & Shipping.

The interesting bits were that the seat moved around to simulate weight transfer of the car. I also imagine that they had a load cell for the brakes to make it easier to detect lock up.
