Travelled up to Solihull today to see the inlaws, averaging 80-90, lovely weather etc.
Was passed by a lovely DB9 and did the usual ' Look, Daddies future car' comment as it breezed past.
Then soon after another dark blue DB9 passed, but with a white PH smiley sticker on the back. Hello by the way, lovely car.
Then pulled out into the right hand lane and overtook a car in the middle lane, checked my rear view as overtaking....clear.....check again a couple of seconds later and bloody hell, that car appeared out of nowhere, hauling on the anchors! I pass the inside car and pull in sharpish noticing the prancing horse of the car now close behind.
It' was a stunning grey and red 599 (think it was a 599 anyway), he rips away with the most beautifull noise, screaming off, closely followed by a 6 series. Thanks mate, the look and noise of your Ferrari made a great impact on a normal journey.
Unfortunatley on the way home tonight, some of the showgoers may have been a bit hyped by the show, with a few fast car drivers diving through medium heavy traffic at something like 110 leptons etc, a near crash as the BMW M3 sped past at about 110 with a Jap modded car catching him at 120, seemed like the Jap car driver didn't expect the BMW to lift off and it looked as if the Red Jap car was about to take the both of them out. Bit daft in what was medium level traffic.
Hope you all had a great show and got home safely though. There seemed to be quite a few traffic light grids going for it on the A404
