After many years of wondering what that racket was from The Fall, I am now starting to understand where they are coming from.

But I have no idea where to start with the 28 studio albums, anyone car to point me in the right direction?

"Fall Heads Roll" is brilliant. Their best album in years. Get that.

"50,000 Fall Fans Can't Be Wrong" is a good compilation for 80s / 90s stuff.

I am Kurious Oranj from '88 is a good 'un.

I prefer their "poppier" singles to their abrasive oddness.
Victoria, Mr Pharmasist, There's A Ghost In My House, Hit the North & Behind The Counter are all belters.

I saw them in a tiny venue some years back (Leopard in Doncaster) & Mark must've had a bad day. He was all over the shop. I'm all for shambolic but this was just crap. Even with beer goggles & beer "ears" it was still ste. The novelty wore off after 2 songs. Still a great band on record though & John Peels' fave band ever...

Andy.

I am a huge Fall fan but their version of Victoria really blows...

I would say "This Nation's Saving Grace" - ever so slightly more "pop" than other efforts and good way to get to grips with what is going on in his world.

50 thousand fall fans is also pretty good and "Fall Heads Roll" has some great tracks.

The Fall - a lot of people take a while to get them, myself included. Frank Skinner is another late convert and now a rabid enthusiast.

I would recommend The Wonderful and Frightening World of the Fall. Specifically start with the track No Bulbs and play it loud. (It's David Lloyd's favourite track I believe....).

That's genius that is...... bow

I like "Live at the Witch Trials" but other albums to listen to would be "Hex Inudction Hour", "This Nation's Saving Grace" or "Shift-Work".
