Was just listening to my MP3 player while walking to the shop there and realised that a lot of my favourite songs have political connotations (even though im not political!)

Whats your fave "political" songs?

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xQE1GK2ALE0&fea... - Ohio (Crosby,Still,Nash + Young)

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kVRxdPWV3RM - Southern Man (Neil Young)

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=87PMeLEHISA - Broken land (The Adventures)

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pVjNPNNxySc - Alternative Ulster (Stiff Little Fingers)

How? It ranks among one of the least political songs Dylan ever wrote. Maybe something like "Masters of War", "Let Me Die in My Footsteps", "(It's Alright Ma) I'm Only Bleeding", "The Times They Are A-Changin'", "With God On Our Side", but not "All Along The Watchtower", which is mainly Biblical in origin.

I was just asking a question - it's one of his least political songs. What's political about it? I don't understand.

It may be my misunderstanding sorry.....but I thought it was about the 'white man' stealing all the natural resources (gold, diamonds etc) from Africa?

"Dig my Earth"....."Drink my wine" etc?

I probably have it wrong! frown
