We're getting married next year (July 2012), so starting to think about finding a band to play in the evening. Looking for a decent covers band that play recent hits/classics etc. Possibly would be nice to have something a bit funky, maybe with a wind section.

We have one band in mind we have seen and like, and are £1k for a 4 piece which is probably our budget limit, but would like to see hear some others for comparison. The wedding is near Bromsgrove in Worcestershire. Any suggestions?

My band's Bristol based but we have gone as far as Lincoln for a wedding!

Contact us via our website www.bringdownthehouse.org

We can provide full sound and light plus DJ for inbetween sets etc.

I think you'll struggle to find a decent band with a horn section for a wedding at that budget, unless they're quite young and new to it all..

I'm London based, but check out my lot through my employment in my profile if you want. We are a full time pro band, and even then Worcestershire could be tough on that budget, as we've regularly charged another half again on that for Gloucester weddings...

Let me know what you think, or I may be able to help find some ways to source recommended bands bands nearer you, as I'm in contact with lots of agents.
