Hi

I was wondering if anyone could recommend somewhere or somebody who could offer piano lessons to a beginner, preferably lunch time, maybe evening. I'm near Moorgate tube during the day and travel home from Waterloo so can jump on the tube for a few stops if necessary....

Thanks

Hi Pia,

I know a couple of piano teachers (including my missus, but we're probably too far out for you in Enfield). I'll see if any of them are looking for students.

Which bit of SW London do you end up in?

Local piano shop (Surbiton) teaches.

Thanks, but yes, Enfield is a bit too far out

I travel out of Waterloo getting off at Witley or Godalming in Surrey

You could try Grubsters near Monument station

Does not look like they offer the traditional grades though and perhaps on the pricy side

Ring round a few music shops - Barbican Chimes is round the corner from Moorgate and will likely have the numbers of a few teachers.

Guildhall School of Music and Drama is also on your doorstep, bound to be loads of students looking to make a few quid, although they may well not be very experienced teachers.

Also have a look on www.musicteachers.co.uk or try your local music service.
