Local Band Agents

Hi,

Play in a covers band doing the occasional pub gig, wedding, birthday parties, celebrations, etc and usually hit about 1 every 2 months. Not a lot but we are all v-busy at work and really don't have the time to go knocking and we get most of our gigs via rebookings and bandmeup with a link to our website. I haven't put a link onto our website in case it breaks any advertisng rules on here.

Starting to think a local agent with connections to local venues might be the way forward for us to up the gigs to 1-2 per month and sure there are lots of members on her already working with agents.

Any info, recomendations, note of caution would be gratefull recieved, we are based in the Midlands, UK,

The chap who manages my band runs an agency based in Tamworth called Jazzfish. He's good - gets his acts lots of work in pubs and clubs all across the midlands, and is honest and transparent when it comes to the financial side of things. I'll PM you his number.
