Both utterly brilliant.

Another great for me is Truth by The Jeff Beck Group

Van Halen - Van Halen (1978)

Metallica - Kill em all (1983)

Iron Maiden - Iron Maiden (1980)

Led Zeppelin - Led Zeppelin (1969)

Dio - Holy Diver (1983)

Hmm, I have a hell of a lot of albums with no proper title here!

Ohhhh, a tough one.

After careful consideration, and excluding many like Thin Lizzy, Nirvana, The Police, Accept, AC/DC, Motorhead, Hendrix, Sabbath, etc, etc, etc, here's my list. Good to see a few common ones as listed by others above. That was a flippin tough one though thumbup

Mamas Boys - Official Bootleg / Plug It In
Motley Crue - Too Fast For Love
Aslan - Feel No Shame
Ozzy - Blizzard of Oz
Rage Against The Machine - RATM
Dio - Holy Diver
Metallica - Kill em all
U2 - Boy
Tommy Bolin - Teaser
The Doors - Doors

Boston - Boston

Is a popular one, accoridng to wikipedia second best selling debut album after Guns n Roses, though presumably number 1 for 15 odd years.

Frankie Goes To Hollywood - Welcome To The Pleasuredome

Probably the most influential debut double album ever released.

In addition to the previously mentioned albums by Metallica, G'n'R, Van Halen & Dio, I'd add Black Stone Cherry's self-titled debut.

Apart from most already mentioned, i can only add pride and glory-pride and glory. They only made one album before becoming black label society, but its a good one

Rage Against The Machine - RATM, must be one of the greatest rock debuts ever
Wildhearts - Earth VS, so massively underrated. It's brilliant, as good as Appetite imo
