In the same vein as the favourite 80's hits topic, post your favourites. Mainstream / unusual whatever you like.

I'll start with an early 1990 offering

Guilty pleasure: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NHozn0YXAeEpaperbag

But seriously, there's masses!
Oasis - Champagne Supernova & She's Electric
Levellers - Hope Street
The Verve - pretty much anything... possibly The Drugs Don't Work
Ocean Colour Scene - Better Day
Electrasy - Morning Afterglow

Not forgetting late nineties trance music; but that's probably for a whole other thread.

Good times. cool Them were the days.

Wonders off to delve the depths of youtube to reminisce.

Edit for wine based mess spillings

Any of you lot listen to the DAB radio station Absolute 90s?

They play the vast majority of the stuff mentioned so far.

Far less 'commercial' than you would expect - the played Metallica the other evening, Green Day/Faith No More are regular, Aerosmith, GnR etc.

I like this BTW:

I'll have a look at Absolute 90's, sounds like my cup of tea..

Soul II Soul - Keep on Movin http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1iQl46-zIcM
"A smiling face, a thumping bass, for a loving race"...so decreed Soul II Soul frontman Jazzie B back in the day. ...

The Prodigy - No Good http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=P1Ez_ar4Yig - Reminds me of Magaluf, mid 90's. We were half cut and walking around this huge club (BCM?). There were different 'rooms' around the perimeter of the dancefloor with small groups of people dancing in them.

Jesus Jones, I preferred International Bright Young Thing, it just sticks in the mind more:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5Wa_nTuWAHE

Despite it being a wholesale resampling of one of my favourite (80s) tracks, I'm going to add Usura - Open Your Mind:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7sPUpKGI1Z4

I know it is the obvious choice, but I can't have a list of 90s tracks without Teardrop:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=u7K72X4eo_s

And the track which for me IS 1990s music, Faithless and Insomnia

That does sound like BCM - I was there with 'the lads' in '95!

Surprised no-ones mentions Cafe Del Mar, everyone must have some sort of memory of hearing this whilst on holiday in 1998/99...

ETA, Underworld, Born Slippy, Dark and Long, Pearls Girl, pretty much anything they've done...

another recommendation for Absolute Radio 90a... Superb listening.

Available on digital and internet. A mate has an app for it on his HTC phone - very useful!

As for fave 90a tracks...

Blind Melon "No Rain"

Shed Seven - "Chasing Rainbows"

Agnelli & Nelson - "Everyday" (I think this is just in the nineties!)

Dubstar - "Not so Manic Now"

Faithless - "Insomnia"

Unqestionably Café del Mar - "Energy 52"

Evoke - "Arms of Loren"
