I had a bit of wife and sprog free time yesterday and spent a few hours listening to some vinyl. It's a good old turntable and Ziggy Stardust/Closer/Weld/Never Mind..... sounded pretty amazing.

It got me thinking that it's probably time I got my vinyl LP collection sorted. It's fairly extensive already but I'm sure there are some gems out there that I haven't got.

So.....what albums do you really HAVE to own on vinyl?

Any of these, plus perhaps Rage in Eden by Ultravox

You'd be as well getting some contemporary classics on vinyl, they'll be a lot more scarce in years to come than the coffe-ring stained Tubular Bells you see floating around every car boot sale north of Dover.

Anything up to Hot Space really.
My favourites are;
Queen
Queen II
A Day at the Races
A Night at the Opera
News of the World

If you can find originals they have a liitle extra. e.g. Queen II is a gatefold, and when open it is in colour as opposed to the later re-issue which is black and white.

HTH.
