So who's going to see him perform next year for his tour? I'm seeing I'm on two nights at the royal albert hall for his solo tour and than once in the RAH when he performs with Steve winwood.

I went to see Clapton at Harewood House a couple of years ago and it has to be one of the worst gigs I have ever been to. He came on late which wasn't a good start as it was a fairly cold miserable day didn't say a word to us, not even a 'Hi' started playing and he seemed bored and disinterested as if he was playing for his pension.
During the gig he didn't speak to the crowd, leaving that to the other band members and clearly wasn't enjoying himself as he rushed through the songs.
I felt I had wasted my money and when I saw tickets on FleeceBay (as it hadn't sold out) for a quarter of what I paid for them it didn't make me feel any happier either.
The time before I saw him he was playing at Leeds Uni as 'Derek and the Dominoes' and he was far far better even though he was pissed and on smack.

thats strange that he wasnt very good, i saw him last year at the albert hall and he was really good and seemed to like the gig, but when i saw him in february at the O2 with jeff beck he had some sound issues with his amp but it was an amzing gig with him playing with jeff beck.

im really jealous that you saw him play with the dominoes, sadly i wasnt alive but thats not the point. smile

As a guitar fan he is one of those artists I would like to see for the hell of it, but I am not a huge fan of his in particular.

But his ticket prices are too high so I aint bothered.

Can you still get normal tickets for London? I had a look on ticketmaster but couldn't find anything except the VIP which is £480 for two tickets!

I've got a couple of great stalls tickets but may well flog 'em nearer the time. His new album left me a bit flat.
