Apologies if there was already another topic on this, but I couldn't see one and it didn't come up in the search.

Not your favourite drummer, but which piece of drumming artistry gets you hitting the air like a madman hehe

My nomination after having it on in the car this morning. See here at just after 3.15 in, but especially the bit after about 3.33:

Not a "fill", but one of the best examples of relentless skin-bashing accuracy I can think of:

Megadeth - Holy Wars (Nick Menza on the drums)

Honourable mention to Bonzo on the landing of Headley Grange for "When The Levee Breaks"

Portnoy again, 4.30 onwards, but especially 5.05 into Lay Down Your Life on Transatlantic/The Whirlwind.

There are also some mind-bending fills on King Crimson/Power To Believe by Pat Mastelotto.

no idea who it is but the guy on the Bobby Vee track 'The Night Has a Thousand Eyes' always gets me. Quite a simple drum track but the cymbal work on the chorus is great, cuts through the mix and sound so tight...you can hear it a bit on this version but the one I have one vinyl sounds like it's played much more on the bell of the cymbal

Also, Neil Peart is pretty good on this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iPuOGaoDeIE

I'm really into my linear stuff at the moment so I'm going to suggest pretty much every fill in this Aaron Spears track.

Also there's a David Garrebaldi vid somewhere with some epic fills but I can't find it frown

Haven't heard the song, but know of Pat's work as he plays for a band I absolutely love. Top drummer.

Some lovely fills all through this, particularly the one at about 3 mins. Greatest drummer of all time.

Nice video too.

One of my favourite bands - The Bad Plus, covering Aphex Twin's Flim:

Any drum fill in this entire track fits the criteria, their drummer Dave King is the best drummer I've ever watched!

(Especially the one at 3:08...)
