I'd buy one in an instant, but for the nasty feeling that the price will be way beyond me, indeed everybody except Eric himself!

Another slightly pointless but lucrative way for Gibson to cash in on the iconic status of their main electric. I wouldn't really be interested, despite being a huge Clapton fan, as it's not really meant for players, it's meant for collectors. Fine for what it is, and an obvious easy money spinner for Gibson - who sorely need it - but it wouldn't be for me. If I wanted to approximate his Beano album sound I can't see why I couldn't do it with a normal '60 Historic Reissue, not to mention the even cheaper options they have on offer.

I always associate Eric Clapton with the Fender Stratocaster, as would a lot of people I'd imagine.

Before I clicked the link I thought I'd be looking at the reverse V - but this is almost as awful!

Good grief! Whatever's going on there? As said, the reverse V was bad enough (thankfully discontinued). But there's also the Dusk Tiger, Holy Explorer and the Eye, which looks like a bd son of an SG & a Strat, but with added wings. Must have a 10-year old in the design dept.

Yeah I to admit this is a problem with Gibson, they are trying to do vintage guitars aswell as doing new futuristic designs. If I had the money I would buy the Clapton les Paul and use it everyday but there are a lot of reissues and replicas out at the moment I have to admit.
