Would be grateful for some help identifying a song, first heard by me a few years ago at a friends funeral. He was into his rock and this song was of that genre, the lyrics were suitable for a funeral (the song was picked by him knowing that he was not going to survive) and were something like "Down by the river" or "Down by the docks" or "I'm going to take a walk down by the.."
It was a quite moving song that did appear to my befuddled mind to be about dying but googling the above phrases doesn't seem to produce the right result.
Any help appreciated.
