Jamiroquai; Rock Dust Light Star
Discussion
Ive bought all their stuff since Emergency on planet earth came out. I'll get this one shortly. Still love the majority of their stuff + have been listening to their Jazz Cafe performance again recently. Awesome musicians + Jay Kay has one of the best "live" voices around! Have they any plans to tour again? Saw them the last time they were over here in Belfast in the early 00s + they were excellent as expected

+1 brilliant album! Jamiroquai...Go and show these new manufactured consumer fodder how its really done in the real world!Just picked this up the other day, I've been a fan since Emergency on Planet Earth and that's still my favourite album of their's. I haven't enjoyed any of their albums since Travelling Without Moving as albums despite some great singles.
Rock Dust Light Star however, does seem to hark back to their early style, the arrangemnets seem much more interesting and there are a couple of tracks I already adore, can't remember which tracks as I've only listened to it a few times, although the title track is great. I also have a hunch this seems to be much better produced than 99% of the commercial music out there at the moment. I haven't listened to it on my hifi yet, but looking at the little spectrum analyser on my Squeezebox it was nice not to see all the frequencies constantly to the max.

Absolutely brilliant, been a massive fan since day one, got everything they've ever done, seen them countless times, last time being at Hard Rock calling in Hyde Park this summer and I genuinely think this album is a contender as their very very best work.
Bit of a departure, really don't get the "just like their old stuff" comments, some of it is reminiscant of classic Jamiroquai but I think on the whole its a far more grown up sound than previous efforts with real quality. I reckon this album is more than a return to form.
Blue skies is amazing, as is the title track. Fantastic album.
Edited for truly pants spelling

Well thats what JK said on the day as he was taking the photo but I read somewhere, their own website iirc, that it was actually taken at some gig in France I think.
Might be wrong about the France bit but I'm certain that its not the Hard Rock pic on the cover.
