If you click on bids it says it isn't a valid item number.

... and now they've taken it down, which makes this thread a bit pointless. frown

Someone had a pair of standing tickets for Manchester and the bidding was up to £10,100... He had tickets for several of the others as well but they've all been removed.

Was live when i clicked 2mins ago - 2 "standing" tickets for June 2011.
Maybe a scam or ebay took them off if listing breaches their selling policy etc

Looking at Ebay I see a fair few troll bids smile

I fking hate touts like these pople. Take That is not my thing but I would be furious if I had tried unsucessfuly for hours to get my tickets to find them being sold for a ridiculous profit just hours later.

Isn't buying any off ebay a waste of time, seeing as you will need to produce the card used to buy the tickets on entry?

confused

Never had to do that at any gig I've been to. Stadium or otherwise.

ETA - Actually I seem to remember reading about something similar for Glastonbury recently.

Hmmm Went to see 'Take That' with their 'Circus Tour' at Wembley. We didnt have to produce the card on entry then. And..it only took 3 1/2 hours on the computers to get my tickets this morning. type Talk about stressful. I saw earlier tickets on ebay selling for nearly a million. Very odd!!

Not sure how new the system is, was only told about this today by a guy at work, his son couldn't get into download and his wife had to go there with the card before he could get in.

Download might be a bit different as its a festival and tickets for that are normally much more sought after. With day tickets to gigs, I think 9/10 they just check you're going through the right entrance (like at Wembley and other arenas). If everyone had to bring their cards I can imagine it would be a big headache. Say between now and next June you get a new debit/credit card, you have no proof unless you keep your old card.

Fair play then, and that is true about the cards, if you lost the purchase card you'd be stuck. From what he was saying it sounded like it would be more common but it might just be for the longer events.
