I knew a few weeks ago that Motorhead were doing a new version of the Ace of Spades for the new Kronenbourg 1664 ad.

I've just seen it tonight for the 1st time (during Secret Millionaire) and it's awful.

Shame on you Lemmy.

Although hopefully it might up sales of the 'Ace' - which means more royalties for Eddie bounce

Just heard it.

Have to say I quite like it paperbag

Kudos to Lemmy for doing it, rather than letting it be done by a bad cover band...

Each to their own I guess hehe

Although, I don't know the facts behind it - perhaps they asked Lemmy for approval for a 'cover band' to do it - and he said bugger that - we'll do it.

Still don't like it though wink

Lemmy Kilminster! - Live from corporate headquarters.

How can anyone give kudos to a successfull rock star for becoming a corporate shill and doing a commercial?

John Lydon flogs butter, Iggy is an insurance salesman and now Lemmy is hocking booze, what a joke. Bill HIcks was right, there's a price on their heads, everything they say is suspect.

As for doing it rather than letting another band cover it, I rather suspect he did it because they offered him a large amount of money.

How is Lemmy anything like the other two(I agree they are shills)? He(unless he's gone TeeTotal on us) still likes a snifter, so it's not like he's flogging timeshare or microwave chips. I'm pretty sure I remember Bill pitching a hypothetical advert for Philip Morris, so not really a sellout.

Doesn't bother me what Lemmy does.

Saw Motorhead live the first time they played in Manchester, think it was the Apollo.

2 fifteen year old kids and 300 Hells Angels/Bikers.When we'd finished being scared steless it was one of the best nights of my life.

I'm 46 now and the memories of that night still make me shake my head in amazement that a concert can be so good.

If he wants to advertise bloody beer then so what.

I'm sure Lemmy did a financial services advert a few years ago and while trying to find that out according to Wikipedia he has also done Kit Kat and Walkers crisps adverts.

After replying to you i decided i wouldnt be so petty as to continue arguing about it (hence deleting it)but as you asked so nicely...

What i originally wrote (and then deleted) was... ' your assuming I've never met him.'

Are you terminally hard of thinking or just get a kick out of irritating people?

In your previous post you expressed the opinion that my biggest mistake was to assume that people I hadn't met (ie Lemmy in this case) had any integrity.

I then pointed out that you were making the mistake of assuming i hadn't met Lemmy. (which I have).

There, not hard to understand is it.

Blimey - all I was commenting on was the blasphemy that was a revised version of 'Ace'.
