...and was very impressed. They came on late as expected but who cares. I'm now covered in bruises after almost 3 hours at the front. Very enjoyable though. Check out the setlist... http://www.setlist.fm/setlist/guns-n-roses/2010/ma...

Some classics from Sebastian Bach kicked things off perfectly.

Actually take me back to 87 and I'd be there but each album since has not been a patch on the debut, and now, it's just Axl plus band.

I saw Slash in August performing some Appetite stuff. It was no where near as good as the other night. I didn't expect it to be as good as it was to be honest. smile

I was there last Wednesday night and was very impressed overall. If I was picky I'd say that I preferred the sound of Seb's guitarists to GnR's, but overall the shows were very good. Axl's voice doesn't seem to have really changed over the years and although Slash et all were missing, I thought that their replacements covered everything admirably. Ron Thal is an exceptional guitarist too and was a pleasure to listen to.

I should add that I don't think I've ever seen guitarists do so much mileage in a show before, running around, leaping over stage monitors etc. All very entertaining.

I knew they would start late and had about 10pm in my mind so it wasn't an issue at all.

I watched them in Belfast a few months ago + went expecting the worst as i loved the original band ( I saw them at Slane Castle in in the early 90s). But, i was pleasantly surprised at how good they were tbh. Played all the hits, musicians were top notch and even grumpy old Axl looked like he was enjoying himself! They came on 25mins late but played 35mins extra - everyone in the sell-out crowd (10k) seemed more than happy

Saw 'them' at the O2 on weds and enjoyed it aside from the fact we had to leave early to get the last train home wasnt madly impressed by the guitarists, bumblefoot for instance made a complete pigs ear of the sweet child solo, a pub rock axeman could have played it better biggrin other than that Axl still has the same voice though a little fatter. hehe

i think i've said on previous threds saw them about 4 years ago, they totally rocked and the mosh was superb esp during the encore. paradis ecity was a euphoric state that has since to be repeated at live concerts.

sebastian bach racked as the first support and as abig skid row fan it was great to hear the old faves. glad he's still touring.

in short they were brilliant and well worth any hassle

In all fairness a lot of bands of that era/genre have gone the same way, two I can think of are Megadeth and Annihilator.

Although, had you gone on Thursday at the O2, it would have been Axl and Duff plus band (really annoyed I missed that)
