Who or what is this band? I noticed a full page ad in the Sunday Times for a forthcoming tour which seems to take in all of the UK's biggest venues. I have never heard of them, and nobody I have asked has either. They appear to be gynormous, yet Wikipedia etc doesn't really throw much light on the subject. >mystified<

Off the top of my head *cough* they are an alternative rock band from Dublin, Ireland. Currently based in London after signing to Sony Label Group imprint Phonogenic, the band released their self-entitled debut album in August 2008. Their music has been featured in video games and the popular teen programmes 90210 and Waterloo Road.

To be fair the Wiki page does cover most of it and a quick jaunt to their own site / youtube etc might allow you to hear a few of their more popular releases.

But it's possible you haven't heard of them or heard anything by them, if so let me know your secret.

Basically yet another pop with a hint of rock band, similar in the vein of Scouting For Girls, yet inexplicably looking even more like they might wet the bed.

Just another emotional suicide, overdosed on sentiments and pride.

Marillion?

Yes, I agree with you, they are, but I prefer the Fish albums generally to the "H" ones.

Only track I really like by The Script is their Radio One Live Lounge cover of the Foo Fighters' "Times Like These"

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AG2CDxnTihI

But not a patch on Dave Grohl's original acoustic version......

Plus both their first two albums hit number one in the UK. That would normally sell a few seats.

My Ex tried to force them upon me. I don't talk to her anymore. hehe

Far too wishy-washy/middle of the road for me.

Agreed. Very very very bland female orientated irish guitar band. Exceptionally middle of the road. My missus loved them live at the IOW festival (suspect it was the girlies all singing along to the songs they knew), but even she was put off when she heard the new album.

Yes, but don't let facts like that get in the way of smug music superiority complexes.

We've all heard worse.

They are kind of Keane / Daughtry clones, just not as good as either.
