Remember hearing on Radio 1 ages ago a thing where people could give the name of a track / tracks they liked and they'd get recommendations of similar.

I'm lacking a bit in my music collection, so wondered if the esteemed PH buffs could work their magic...

At the moment I'm on a Techno hunt. The First Rebirth by Jones and Stephenson appeared on my iPhone last week, and I want more in a similar vein.

Pandora is built on the music genome project, which does exactly this.

Sadly however PPL and the other one I forget the name of are morons and wouldn't agree a licence fee so we in the UK can't use it without proxying.

Last.fm is what I use, don't need to sign up (but you can if you like to keep track of what you listen to) - just type in an artist/album/song and it will play you a radio station based around it.
