A little video I recorded last night, please have a listen and let me know what you think. At the moment I'm in the middle of writing an album of songs similar to this. Only problem is I'm not sure it's worth it, will anyone want to listen to this sort of stuff?..

Thought is was fairly boring and then by about 2.30ish it started to sound really messy and too heavily overlaid. It started ok in a lift-music, background sound way but just dragged too much (and I like mogwai and various other dull bands).
On the plus side you play guitar very well and the guitar sounded good.

Yes, that's something I want to do but am unable to do with my current loop station- hence why the melody is there all the way through. A bit much isn't it? Cheers,

TBH, chap, it's not quite "all of a piece" that one.
As Apache said, the melody loop was a bit overpowering and (for me, anyway) the lead tone wasn't quite there: maybe a little on the thin side? I love violin notes, but there were a tad too many phrases (for me) that used them.
Having said all that, not entirely unpleasant to listen to and still doesn't stop me from liking your work.
I still love that "Random Noodles" thing you posted when you first got your Boss loop doowhacky (the one in DADGAD tuning, and on my favourites list on YouTube)

With this tune, I came up with the inital melody and then improvised over it with some ideas I had in my head. This video is the first attempt at playing anything over the main melody and is completely improvised- I filmed it so that I wouldn't forget any random ideas I came up with, didn't intend to put it on youtube- as you can see, no effort has gone into my video as usual
I've changed it somewhat now, there are a few different changes and a bit less 'violining.' I'll post the new version when I'm happy with it
