Anyone going to see him on his UK tour?

I have mainly heard him with Springsteen but I downloaded quite a lot of his stuff and am liking it.

Its a shame its an accoustic show as I would prefer a full band.

What are the top songs to look out for?

I am probably going to go to Southampton as well although I was considering Basingstoke.

The Basingstoke show is before the Soton one so I could go to both if I really liked it!

Well I saw him in Basingstoke in the end.

He did a couple of songs on electric guitar - which were the standouts for me!

Aside from that the rest of the show was good but I can;t help but feeling it could have been epic had the whole thing been done electric!

I am thinking about going again to Southampton. Probably would no question if it was 15 quid but at another 30quid its going to be a considered choice!

Nils is great live

Saw him a couple of years back (as well as loads of times playing with Bruce). In a small venue he often sticks around to sign CD's etc at the end... top bloke and an amazing guitarist.

Favourite tracks? "Black Books" is great (on The Sopranos soundtrack) plus he does Bruce covers quite a lot (Man at The Top and Because The Night when I saw him if I remember correctly).

For another top Springsteen-related act, definitely try and catch Southside Johnny and The Asbury Jukes when they are in the UK... superb stuff.

He's had a hip replacement last year i think, so no back flips biggrin
Saw him in the seventies when he did the trampoline back flip while playing a solosmokin
Seen his acoustic show a couple of years back at the Sage, and he was very good but agree his electric shows are even better.
The most underrated guitar player around i'd say.

Now there's a name i havent heard for a few years. Especially like the stuff he did with neil young, and his early solo stuff, although his work on rust never sleeps with neil young was just superb
