My last set died. they came free with the ipod. I want something very cheap and cheerful and moveable as I have a wonderful soundsystem in my living room.
In an ideal world I would find out how to get my ipod connected to my sound system (nad amp and great speakers and a cd player ) however the whole lot is 15+years old and ceratinly pre-times when ipod attachments were put into these things.... help on this would be appreciated

A 3.5mm jack to phono lead will only cost a few quid and let you plug anything with a headphone port into your amp.

For a slightly slicker option, an ipod dock will give a line-level output to go to your amp, a remote for controlling it across the room, and you can plug a charger in too so it doesn't run out of power.

That is exactly what I use. iPod dock connected to BeoMaster 5500 (and two BeoVox RL60 speakers) with a 3.5 stereo jack to twin phono lead.
