Name that tune Ultimate Challenge!

While walking the dog this morning I heard a tune coming from a house which sounded good but I could only hear the bass line and drums!

The bass line was a bit like the start of "Billie Jean" and had a chorus/bridge of just two long bass notes repeated. The drums sounded like just basic bass/snare time keeping duties.

No idea of era, singing or other musical aspects so this is the ultimate stab in the dark to identify a music track!!!

Any ideas?

Except that the house was obscured by trees on another road so not sure which house it was!
