Sensitive Neighbours Necessitate Tech.!!
Discussion
I have a simple requirement, but I don't know what the most cost effective solution is - hence my asking the people that will know...
I play a bit of guitar and a mate of mine who I see occasionally is a killer bass player.
We used to play in a Who tribute band back in the late 80's (stop laughing at the back).!!
The issue I have is that on the odd occasion that he comes down to visit (approx 4 - 6 times per year) we go out, catch a live band and get pretty trollied.
Obviously when we get back to mine (which is usually after midnight) we can't help but to plug in and rock out for a couple of hours.
Therein lies the problem...
I have several (right handed) electric guitars and my mate who is left handed leaves one of his basses at mine for such occasions as I don't think his playing is encouraged at home - his wife is a bit of a mare.!!
What can I use to take the input of two guitars and a backing track from say a DVD or CD player and play it all back through one stereo channel so we can listen to the output through two sets of headphones - thereby enabling me and by drunk mate to feel like we're playing in The Who at break-neck volume at silly hours of the morning without waking up my neighbours (and my missus - who to be fair is a Who fan)?
Answers on a postcard chaps...
Thanks in advance
Nick
PS. Usually some form of PA would be the solution, but I don't want to be overkilling the solution bearing in mind this won't happen very often...

Pretty much any form of micro mixer I would think.

Just try a splitter on the headphone output to get started or use a separate headphone amp.
Job done.
