Superb keyboard player

Mods, please don't move to the music forum yet as I think this deserves a wider audience for a while.
Shamelessly nicked from the b3ta newsletter but I was astonished by this bloke's talent, not too sure what's up with him but - almost seems like some kind of savant with an innate musical ability:

Linked from the above, this is bloody amazing and imho opinion is better than the first link:

If you search youtube for Ronald Jenkees there are quite a few others too.
Christ, just found this on his channel - astonishing - the bizarre style of finger movement is incredible. Wouldn't be surprised if he is plucked from his bedroom by a major label in the near future.

He is a gifted natural basically, but his enthusiasm is what is more interesting. Everyone who picks up an instrument etc wants to get to the stage where they don't have to concentrate on the instrument or task at hand, then they can just have fun. Braking the barrier to get to that stage where you can get a rush from your ability is what doing something artistic is all about.

I find it quite incredible, this guy is to me one of those who has some kind of gift or an "ear for music".
Just looking at him on the net - apparently he can't even read music; from wiki:
Jenkees first began playing music at 4 years old when he received a toy keyboard as a Christmas gift. With it, he learned simple melodies and played with friends. While still at a young age, he received a Yamaha PSR-500. He attempted piano lessons in the seventh grade, but these were unsuccessful. Jenkees discovered how to sequence and layer music using his Yamaha keyboard, and began playing hip hop music. He joined a marching band in high school, and despite being unable to read sheet music, the band director let Jenkees create his own keyboard parts and "jam out" in state competitions. The band director encouraged Jenkees to learn to read music, but he continued to play by ear. He is from Kentucky.[2]

Not trying to compare the guy to some of the greats out there but for an obscure fellow sitting in his room he has one hell of a talent.I took piano to grade 8 when I was younger and it took one hell of an amount of teaching from some skilled people. Looking at some of his vids he seems to be alone in his bedroom and I am sure I never had the natural ability, without any training or even the ability to read music, that this guy seems to possess.

Simply awesome guy, i'm sure there are a few musical greats who can't read music, I know Eddie Van Halen couldn't read music (not sure if he can now) and he was also amazing to listen to.Just looking at him on the net - apparently he can't even read music; from wiki:

Can't stop listening to this bloke, his unorthodox use of the left hand just amazes me.
Doing an electric guitar sound here:

Sorry but I don't think he's that great. He obviously knows how to get the best out of his keyboards. Is there any video of him playing piano?
Apologies, I forgot this was pistonheads where anyone's ability, no matter how good it is, can never compare to the experience of its members. How are you on the keyboard - care to post up a link? Why the hell would he play the piano? Do you ask a trumpet player to show how good he is on the trombone or tuba?

Totally disagree, he plays led zeppelin "all my love" granted on keyboard still but it has pressure sensitive keys and he got the timbre perfect, at times I had goosebumps. However, he did make mistakes, many of them. Yet his innate talent and euphoria he feels when jamming out conquers all.
I play guitar, I listen and watch Jimi I see and hear him bum notes but it takes nothing from his performance, most non musicians don't even notice the mistakes. That's what is important about this kid, his mistakes vanish and his genius shines.

Sorry, leaves me cold. If it were a guitarist playing all this widdly-widdly stuff everyone would be posting to say how crap they thought it was.
I know what you mean but it's not the widdly stuff that impresses some people it's witnessing someone with a genuine enthusiasm and joy for playing which interest me. Technically some people play better but have no animation, sole or connection to the piece they play. This is the best keyboard player in the world... on a piano, lol.

I've always been impressed by Rick Wakeman's keyboard solo in this clip especially when it all goes a bit up tempo mid way through:
