V Fest

Hi all,

Going V-Fest in a couple of weeks, Weston Park.

Anyone else going, ever been?

First time at one of these things so what should I expect? Any essentials I should/shouldn't take?

I'm going. Been going every year since 1996 I think.

Things to bring?
Enough money...the cash point queue can be horrendous.
Ear plugs to reduce the sound of the 5am rave in your campsite.

Remember to take a trolley it is a long walk to camp site.

Take lots of booze

Take wellies

Take sun cream

Get a line up times off the internet before you go to say 15 quid for the programme. Try tufs ( google it)

To take booze in just load a rucksack and give it a go..if they stop you try another entrance.

Enjoy yourself v is pretty safe by festival standards...

Going to Hylands Park.Driving up early doors tomorrow. Have done Reading every year for last 4 years so this is a bit of a change.

TIP... for a cheeky drink in the arena, get a wine box, take out the bag and put it down the back of your trousers.Walk straight in.

I don't remember having any trouble taking alcohol in last year. Just had it in my bag.

Picking up tickets at the gate; managed to get hold of some VIP tickets

Don't forget the £20 you have to pay at the wrist band collection. VIP bar takes real money so no need to get loads of beer tokens.

Sorry to say it looks like it's going to be very wet this year.
