Discussion
I have just been introduced to this instrument, a friend has one and it sounds amazing.
I never knew it existed, almost like 2 inverted steel drums stuck together to look like a space hopper.

Really does sound good, so anyone on here play one?

Rarer than rocking horse doo doo. The genuine article being hand made in very small quanities on a less than frequent basis and requiring a trip to the makers to ensure you select one which "speaks" to you.
But despite all the crystal twirling rhetoric I'd love one. They appear on eBay, very, very rarely (because you're not supposed to sell them) and when they do they go quickly and for lots of money.
The other option is the Halo from Pantheon Steel in the US - again limited productions runs but they do seem to be more consistent. (I'm on the waiting list and only for 7 months so far - a year appears to be about the standard)
If you like a bit of chill out, Jazz kinda thing, check out Portico Quartet - the hang is a very core part of their sound.

Yes my friend bought one from one of his friends in Israel and he got in touch with the Swiss Manufacturers and they wanted nothing to do with him.But despite all the crystal twirling rhetoric I'd love one. Thanks for the recommendation, I like that a lot.
