Like it, good mix of new sounds and a couple that sound like things of Sounding the Seventh Trumpet!

I tried it, based on the hype, but they keep descending into ghey boyband-like singing. If anything, Bullet For My Valentine seem a little less ghey.

I therefore struggle to understand why so many people I know that like traditional metal love them so much.

I can see you're point and i'm a traditional Metallica / Maiden / Machinehead etc fan, and I can't quite say why the do aPpeal so much but they are superb.

Thing is, with Avenged, they are different, but I can always listen to them.
But Bullet I have gone completely off of after The Poison, trying too hard and horrible singing.

The video for Nightmare is great.

Don't sound different to me. Metallica meets My Limp Wristed Valentine. He even sings the same way that Hetfield has started doing in his later years, with all the yeah-ee-yea-eahs.

I quite liked it although i didn't after the first listen. I still think their last album was a lot better though.

It'll be interesting to see where they go now that their main songwriter is gone.....
