Ok, so not new material - i dont think we'll see much if any of that in future BUT i've just bought the new album 'Time Flies 1994-2009', a collection of all the singles that they released and it's reminded me of how brilliant they really were/are!

Highly recommended!

Dont need a compilation album for that. Incedently just put Heathen Chemistry back in the car, loving force of nature, songbird, little by little and She is the love. Must remember to dig out the masterplan this weekend...

I didnt buy much of the later stuff and what albums i have from the early days are on tape!!!

Regret never seeing them live - especially living 20 miles from their hometown where they tended to do a bit more gigs than elsewhere!

Just found out too that Track 13 of CD2, 'Falling down' is approx 4m 30s long. If you let it run a further 2 mins (just silence), it gives a free bonus track of 'Sunday Morning call'.

I don't think anyone will ever replace Oasis as my all time favourite band, their later stuff did go off track I think though. Listening back to their early albums always brings a smile, saw them about 4 times, including their last ever show at V last year!

I don't see the point in singles collections. Surely even a casual fan would have the tracks they want by now (i.e. those dating from 1994-1996!)

Kind of agree, It is basically just another money spinner for them, but then again it is nice to have all the good tracks together, though anyone with a computer can manage that these days anyway.
