Crack in my bass guitar neck

Assuming it's a bolt on... just bolt a new one on! It looks daunting but it is really surprising what you can do with guitars.
If it doesn't effect playing, I would just save up and buy a good one when if decide to take the plunge.
I wouldn't mind tying that as the rest is in good condition, could I just buy a new neck and head though? If it doesn't effect playing, I would just save up and buy a good one when if decide to take the plunge.

Where on the neck is the crack? It might be repairable by a guitar tech as the trussrod takes quite a lot of the load rather than the wood.
Post a pic and I will tell you what to do.
If you can't do the pic then give a detailed description (including the make and type of guitar, and where exactly the crack is, how big it is, what direction it runs in). If it's a cheap guitar it probably would not be appropriate to fit a new neck
