Anyone Go To Music Festivals?
Discussion
Probably the worst place to ask, but given the diversity of people on here, I had to do it.
Does anyone on here go to music festivals?
I am having a stall at a music festival in August, and have been informed that its rather hippyish (their words not mine!), now as this is the first time I have been to one, either as a visitor or vendor, I have absolutely no idea what to expect.
So, I have absolutely no idea what kind of jewellery to be making to take to sell there, so if there is anyone that goes to them, or any 'hippies' on here, please can you give me some ideas? I really would appreciate it.
Oh, and lettuce necklaces and c*ck rings have already been suggested!
Many thanks for helping out a damsel in distress, and yes you can have some fun at my expense!

What sort of jewellery do you normally make? I'd imagine as long as it's marketable somewhere else it should be marketable at a festival? Some of the festivals have hippyish images but at the end of the day most of the people that go are pretty normal! Unless you're going to the annual lentil festival or something?
I do tend to try and cater for everyone, from inexpensive gemstone chip bracelets, also glass pearl and crystal wedding/prom jewellery, right up to expensive Swarovski crystal bead jewellery. Also 'fun' things like liquorice allsorts/ice cream/burger earrings.
It's not just jewellery, I do bag charms, book marks, mobile charms, things like that.

jewellery you can hide drugs in would probably be popular
This could be an idea! Especially if you set up just outside the entrance to the festival! To be honest anything reasonably cheap will probably go down well, although I may be proved wrong and Swarovski stuff may be a winner...
Well after taking advice from here and various other places, I have been busy making gemstone stuff and sea glass pendants on thong (damn recycling means that there is a shortage of sea glass!)
So will be at Todstock at weekend, anyone in the area, please do come and say hi, I will be the one with faint pink streaks in my hair, selling jewellery and probably looking like the weather (this is the godforsaken town of Todmorden, so smiles don't happen , and the weather is likely to be miserable), if you do come by, I like my coffee white with 2 sugars, thanks muchly!
