Wannadies -Hit
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JIEODNs8kRE -check out the bit at 1:15 where he appears to open-handed-slap the woman in the right tit? Incongruous.

Black Box Recorder -Facts of Life
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FP-2VLQEv4c -A Mark and Lard all time favourite, if you're a bloke and went through puberty, this song is like a comforting if strangely erotic hug.

Supergrass -Caught by the Fuzz
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nm0WvH30idM&fea...

Pete Townsend -Little is enough
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_PByvwTuUQA -not well known but such a good 80's track

Iron Maiden -Can I play with Madness
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ocFxQjPeyiY

Kiss -Crazy Nights
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4kjNBd7sO6M -And why not?

Arab Strap -First Big Weekend of the Summer
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=g9Krvl7AEAs -arguably the finest song of the entire fecking 90's.

-That'll do for a bit, off the top of my head and that.

Sensing a Britpop theme I'm going to suggest:

Neighbourhood by Space
Place Your Hands On by Reef
One Way by The Levellers
The Circle (acoustic version preferably) by Ocean Colour Scene
A Design For Life by The Manic Street Preachers
The Only One I Love by The Charlatans
Staying Out For The Summer by Dodgy

That should keep you stuck in 1996 for a few hours! smile

Always a winner. (especially with the video featuring a young fatboy slim doing some very questionable dancing)

Blast from the past here. Dizkneeland by Dada. Would fit in very well with the stuff you've mentioned.

If we're going 'forgotten britpop' then what about:

Hurricane #1 - "Step Into My World"

The rest of their output wasn't great, but I couldn't get enough of this track and the amazing layered guitar solo at the end

Mansun – "Legacy"

My favourite band of the period

The Bluetones – "Marblehead Johnson"

Still going now and just released a new album, always good songs and a strong sense of humour

Ride – "Leave Them All Behind"

Epic early 90s shoegaze anthem

The Longpigs – "Far"

Underrated at the time and stood the test of time quite well
