Was anyone at the Tan Hill Levellers acoustic gig last week?

First time I've seen them live- was mightily impressed. Great venue as well, only 150 people or so in the barn at the back.

Just seen this topic.

I had never seen the Levellers live but was a fan in the late 90's. Had mentioned in passing that I would have quite liked to have seen them and then a few months later, my missus surprised me with tickets for me and my mate (who was also a fan) to see them in Glasgow.

Thought they were fantastic, and they had this confidence and polished ability that only a group who has been together for a good number of years seems to have, but without the laziness that can effect some long-established bands ('cant be ar$ed anymore' syndrome).

The venue was quite small and it was a really great gig.

They were great at Le Mans. However let down by a bloody awful PA system which failed halfway through the gig. Still one of the best live basnds around. I saw them last Friday in Cheltenham and they were in top form.

they also run a great festival every August. www.beautifuldays.org

I went to that - they were really good. First time I've seen them live, despite 'One Way' being THE tune of my first year at uni (god, that was a while ago).

I agree - it was a good gig, as was Neville Staple who followed them on.
