Doing a bit of a house clearance at the moment and have come across boxes and boxes of cd's. Mostly from 90-05 or so.

I [I]Really[/] can't be arsed ebaying them individually and it seems a shame to throw away 500-odd cd's in decent nick. I don't know of any local 2nd hand music shops frown

What's the best way to flog them? A job lot on ebay?

TBH, fifty quid would do me fine.

Go to Richer Sounds, spend £500 on a budget amp, CD player and speakers and fall in love with the music all over again.

It's not my music!

Red Hot Chili Peppers
Massive Attack
Radiohead
Fun Lovin' Criminals

Lots of "best of" and compilations of soul/dance/classic rock stuff.

Will have a better look later on and give y'all an update. Will count them too. Maybe even take a photo of them spread out.

Right. There were a lot of empty cases and copied cd's in the first box but so far we have (genuine and in good condition. I've not listed singles of which there are many):

U2 - ALL THAT YOU CAN'T LEAVE BEHIND
CHEMICAL BROTHERS - EXIT PLANET DUST
ROBBIE WILLIAMS - I'VE BEEN EXPECTING YOU
WAMDUE PROJECT - PROGRAM YOURSELF
JAMES BLUNT - BACK TO BEDLAM
IDLEWILD - THE REMOTE PART
THE BEST OF CURTIS MAYFIELD
BILL WITHERS GREATEST HITS
DEPECHE MODE - THE SINGLES 86-93
THE BEST OF DAVID SOUL
BLUE - ALL RISE
CARON WHEELER - UK BLAK
THE SOUND OF FUNK VOL 1
QUEER AS FOLK SOUNDTRACK
JUSTIN TIMBERLAKE LIVE
THE VERY BEST OF KAJAGOOGOO
NO.1 HITS OF THE 80'S
911 - THERE IT IS
THE VERY BEST OF MARVIN GAYE
STEVIE WONDER - GREATEST HITS
CHARLIES ANGELS SOUNDTRACK
AIR - MOON SAFARI
WILL SMITH - BIG WILLIE STYLE
JAMIE CULLUM - TWENTY SOMETHING
PROPELLORHEADS - DECKSANDDRUMSANDROCKANDROLL
GRANDADDY - THE SOPHTWARE SLUMP
OCEAN COLOUR SCENE - MOSELY SHOALS

That's about 1/3 of the first box (there are two boxes, each the same size)

I don't want to start a bidding war on ph wink but i';ve already had 3 emails from people offering £50+postage. So, the answer to my original questions seems to be - ask on ph!!

Postage is gonna be expensive, it's a heavy package. Anybody local (NE Scotland) interested?

Final count is 210 (+/- 10). And two bin bags full of hookey discs and empty boxes. irked

To answer the question I've been asked a couple of times - we bought a flat which looked to have been left in a hurry wink Amongst all the rubbish was a huge cd tower!

Amd, yes, I've kept a couple of cd's for myself (or will at least burn em to my ipod before the box goes!)

Postage wise, it's down to one box now, approx 24" x 18" x 18" and it weighs about 24kg.

yes You don't get much, but then again I was shocked when I got £8 for a kids CD that my mum got for 50p in a closing down shop years ago
