My word, he's good.

Best gig I've ever been to, by a long way.

If you get chance, go see, you'll thank me for it.

Superb.

That's all.

Not seen him live, but have seen various things and have his albums.. Always good to listen to!

Did he do the piano bashing and drumming on it and things like he used to?

Oh yes, loads of that, loads of everything. Even did a solo beat box/sample track, superb.

Great voice and a superb musician, really excellent night.

Bugger. I actually knew that, and my spelling is normally pretty good. I blame beer.

Thankfully, no; his public persona being irritating enough.

Best gig you've been to?

Okay, you are either very young or have been to zero a very small number of other gigs.

Thanks for your input, your mother must be very proud. rolleyes

I've been to plenty of gigs, thanks. At Cheltenham Jazz fest this weekend, Dartmouth music fest next weekend, need I go on? It was a superb gig, from an exceptionally talented musician.

I'll now stop feeding the troll. wink

Aside from being an irritating little st, he's also married to Sophie Dahl cloud9, which is enough reason to hate him by itself.

I don't get the irritating thing, I thought he was quite charming, came across as a decent chap that loves his music.

Certainly no 'Rooney' type character.

We don't really like talented or successful people in this country though, shame.

Sophie was there, cloud9 indeed!

I just don't get him. I went to see him with a mate a few years back and thought it was total rubbish.

Yes he plays a couple of instruments fairly well but its just all so bland.... he might as well just be sponsored by Magic FM. And he is probably better known for doing annoying covers of other peoples songs than his own material.

Perhaps it was the fact the audience was mainly comprised of middle aged women virtually creaming their pants at the sight of the little monkey on the piano that annoyed me most and that effected my opinion of his music?

Each to their own and all that....

Definitely not bland last night, 'a few years ago' I would guess he was quite different, as was I!

Did a couple of covers of songs you wouldn't expect, a bit of experimental stuff, really was a good gig.

Could you expalin how I was trolling? I hold a contrary view to the OP. I've found him (Cullum , not Maser_spyder; I've never seen him) to be an irritating little st since he first appeared on TV around 1999. He's done little to change my mind in the meantime. You may not agree; it doesn't make me a troll.

And he's still married to Sophie Dahl...

hehe

Read the earlier post where I was accused of being a troll for holding exactly the same opinion as you.

I was agreeing with you.
