...what it is about her that people like?
As I see it she's a Hag in Drag with zero personality or decent songs and yet she's everywhere and people keep buying her stuff.
I really need some help understanding her appeal.
A lot of people really are none too bright. The effluence absorbing capacity of the average idiot never ceases to amaze me...As I see it she's a Hag in Drag with zero personality or decent songs and yet she's everywhere and people keep buying her stuff.

Have you lot ever listened to the alternatives in the plastic pop industry? Okay, there's nothing profound or artistic about her music, but it's still preferable to chavvy crap pumped out by the likes of JLS and N-Dubz. Look at it in context - it's that or a kid white-rapping about his ASBOs. Suddenly it seems quite catchy.

In complete contrast to all the X-Factor Idols Got Talent faux-divas that seem to think of themselves as the 21st century Diana Ross just because they went on to create the most cringeworthy 'R&B' ballads known to mankind, Lady Gaga isn't devoid of any sense of humour, doesn't seem to take herself very seriously and actually writes stuff that is mostly entertaining in a slightly wacky fashion. I think like Madonna before she may actually surprise us with some decent stuff one or two decades down the road.

I assume you have seen an interview with this person?
One thing that does come across is that she has no personality and takes herself far far too seriously and reacts pretty poorly to humourous criticism.
Though agreed on the rest of the breakdown of the Xfactor pop lite people.
