Guys I really want one is a Blackmachine guitar, as far as Im concerned they are the most beautiful guitar in the world.
The problem is the waiting list is measured in generations and the cost is considerable and I'm still a beginner!

What i really like is the natural wood finish most and the ibanez type neck, so are there any similar alternatives anyone can suggest up to about £1K.

Cheers

Martin

PS: I may yet go for a B6 if i can convince the wife, and i can get hold of Doug (the lutheran)

Pretty simple really, buy this:

And get out the Nitromors (and some kind of air fed mask)

Job done.

Seriously though, there are a lot of luthiers in the country who would be able to knock up something fairly similar. You would need to ask around a lot of local guitarists though.

Some form of Parker might fit the bill and I'll suggest the Washburn N2 Nuno Bettencourt signature model in as an outside bet.

If it's an Ibanez style neck and bare wood you are after with a circa £1k budget then I can heartily recommend an Ibanez RGT220H. It's discontinued but if you can find one I'm sure it would fit the bill. Not quite a Blackmachine I'll grant you, but I have one and it sounds great and plays really well.

You could get a USA N4 second hand for under a grand. I've got a paduak version and it's a lovely guitar with a fantastic neck. The Bill Lawrence hummy is rather harsh but there are loads of better pickups out there. The neck 59 pickup is very good.
