It is that time of the year when the windows are down and I want nice, chillout music in my car that matches the great weather/my great mood.

Any ideas? No prefence to genre. Can be Dance, Indie, whatever hehe

Thanks,
Matt

Waltz 4 Koop cloud9

I've not heard that for years!

I can't find a clip, but "Future Past" by Genetica is an all-time summer driving favourite.

As is:

For me, the best summer tunes bring to mind a hot sunny country meadow, and being in a slightly dreamy state. It is possibly no coincidence that all these tracks are chillout with female vocalists.

The delicious Alison Goldfrapp. 'Little Bird' http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4l4PkcX8UEM

Air and Beth Hirsch http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GeILGX3nN0U

Also Beth Hirsch, with Jakatta. 'One Fine Day' http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=StG-82tYvWY

Zero 7 and Sia Furler. 'Destiny' http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=INn1C6ImJKg

Maybe it's just me, but that version isn't very summery. Not even in an Ibeefa way (purely a personal preference). For something more chilled, Seal did a 'Summer In White' edit. Unfortunately there doesn't seen to be a YouTube video of it, I can only find clips on Last.FM and Amazon (they don't really do it justice):

For some reason, i always dust off Van Halen's 5150 when it's summertime. For me, it seems to epitomise what i like to term 'summer metal' thumbup (plus, rather coincidentally, it has a track called Summer Nights)

Personally, the entire Jakatta album "Visions" (from which "My Vision" is taken) is a perfect summer album.

I agree, especially if you grew up in the 80's. cloud9
