It's not 100% what I was expecting but there's enough there to be excited about.

Still have high hopes for some of the TBA slots.

Really? I'm pretty chuffed. Half the joy of Glasto is monging out in the Greenfields and discovering less well known acts whose names wouldn't ring a bell anyway. Of the big names it looks pretty good. From the Guardian's article (http://www.guardian.co.uk/music/2010/apr/14/glastonbury-2010-full-lineup), the official site and a few other places it looks like acts include:

The Levellers - proper Glastonbury legends!
U2
Muse
Seasick Steve
Lightning Seeds
Stevie Wonder
Faithless
Jack Johnson
SLASH! music
Ray Davis (of Kinks fame)
Hot Chip
Florence and The Machine
Flaming Lips
The Stranglers
The Magic Numbers
Editors
Pet Shop Boys
Reef - more local legends!
Orbital
MGMT
We Are Scientists
Groove Armada *live*
Mumford & Sons
Ellie Goulding
Ash
Fatboy Slim
Delphic
The Wurzels

Also heard rumours of: Feeder, Chemical Brothers (probably big enough to have been announced though?), Noel Gallagher

For various reasons that aren't important, we're not going this year.

And I'm getting really twitchy looking at that line up.

The crowd moving from Faithless to Orbital on Sunday night will be large.

I think a huge number of people will stay to see Stevie.

It's quite probably one of the last opportunities to tick that particular box.

Especially with the full 22 piece support.

yes

I'm trying to suss out my plan of attack and I'm thinking broadly:

Friday
Not too difficult - either Groove Armada or U2 for headline, will see where everyone lese goes

Saturday
Reef (O) to Seasick Steve (P) to Delphic followed by Marina & The Diamonds (JP) to Editors (O) to Muse (P)

Sunday
Possibly Temper Trap (O) but definitely to Slash (P) maybe to We Are Scientists (O) then to Jack Johnson followed by Faithless (P) then either stay at the Pyramid for Stevie Wonder or head over to Orbital (O) or Ash (JP). Probably Orbital I reckon.

Muse, Faithless and Slash are probably my main must sees. Muse and Faithless have put on two of the best gigs I've ever been to (both at previous Glastos) and Slash is just a legend, plus he really seems to be on form with the new album and I fully expect some interesting guest appearances.

Orbital at Glasto is special but I've seen then there 5 times and 32 times in total.

I am however mighty tempted to make it 33...!

Mildly (or very) surprised Leftfield aren't there actually.

I've seen them more than a few times (although not that many times) and it's still a no-brainer for me.

They're playing LED at Victoria Park.

Looking forward to seeing them again. Last time was Tribal Gathering in '96...

Can you imagine how much Superstitious is going to set off the Pyramid though?

There isnt going to be a still person in the field.

That is true. I only know two Stevie Wonder songs personally - I can't stand Isn't She Wonderful (although that could all change after a few pints of Brothers) but Superstition is genius. He is supposed to be fantastic live. There again James Brown [-]is[/i] was supposed to be great live and how cack was he in 2004?

James Brown was fantastic live, in about 1976.

I was at Orbital so didn't see him.

Brian Wilson in 2007 however remains one of the greatest acts I've ever seen there, even though he was a mess.

Sloop John B actually made the sun come out. Magical.
