I'm probably living in my cosy Pink Floyd etc vaccum but who/what is lady gaga - seems to have lots of records out there on that music channel thingy.

Cheesy pop dive who puts on a completely OTT persona.

Used to do songwriting for some cheese pop princesses, then decided to do it for herself.

Nothing special, but seems to be popular.

Fugly behind the slap, and has a nose visible from space; think Cyndi Lauper only less chipmonk-like. There are prurient rumours about her being a he. Penchant for wearing bonkers clothing made from doilys.

Didn't know she wrote those songs. I kinda respect her now. Sold alot of records.

If you find a list of all the songs she has worked on, most are very surprised.

One thing you can't knock is her song writing ability.

I'm going to stick my neck out here and suggest she's actually a cut above the usual plastic pop. None of the songs are particularly profound, but they're catchy, well crafty pop. I don't think I'd ever go as far as buying her songs, but they're easily better than the usual teeny bopper RnB that fills the airwaves. If it's her (okay, it) or N-Dubz...

Well she isn't really in the same league as N-Dubz.

She is up there with Christina Aguilera, Gwen Steffani and Pink.

I still think her productions are lacking a little something, but may well pull out the odd one.

The problem is that she has let her rise to face go to her head, and has (appears to have) become completely detached from reality.

I suspect she'll be found dead soon enough (not that I wish her dead at all (far from it - I think a lot of her stuff is quite catchy)- just seems like a likely outcome for someone who is so clearly nuts)

I must admit to being partial to a bit of Lady GG. For some reason i see her as being a Maddonna for the current generation.

OK, can you show a picture without her makeup on then and not touched up?

She does seem to have based a LARGE amount of her stage persona on Alison Goldfrapp.

No - they're still on my camera biggrin

The above was a still from a video, so not sure it's touched up, and it looks to me like there's very little makeup involved.

I think you need to borrow my glasses if you think that isn't touched up and she isn't wearing a fk load of makeup.

Even the crappy videos have plenty of touching up on the editing.
