Yes.... Why the chuff wouldn't you? Unless it's something sinister like Take That...

In which case you should be shot for crimes against humanity...

If it's a metal gig, get stuck into the mosh pit and enjoy yourself....

I'm particularly looking forward to Slayer next month.... my wife, funnily enough is not going!

Definitely go alone, you'll have a great time. I went to see Preston Reed on my own a few weeks back, as Mrs Gaspode was otherwise engaged on a girly night out with her friends. I was a bit reticent at first, as it wasn't something I'd ever done before, but actually I really enjoyed it, no need to worry about anyone else, you can concentrate on enjoying yourself.

I've been on my own to a concert before, didn't bother me smile I wasn't embarassed to tell people either.

Just got the train down, enjoyed it, train back.

They're usually so crowded that no one knows you're on your own, and it's dark anyway.

Unless my Mrs agrees to attend Glen Campbell with me, then yes. I'll have no choice.

Its likley the same fate will befall me if I cant get her interested in Al Green and Michael McDonald before the end of May, as well.

Yes, definitely go!
I've been to a few concerts by myself, and it's never bothered me. Even when I do go with other people we often get seperated anyway.
Go and enjoy yerself smile

Absolutely, have done this in the past - why the heck should you miss out just because you have no friends and everyone things you are horrible to spend time with? wink

The same applies for the cinema and meals out - better than sitting at home with a bag of regrets.

You might even get chatting to a like-minded person at the concert and find a friend for life... or get mugged and beaten to a pulp in a dark alley.

Enjoy yourself smile

does depend on who you go to see. A bloke, on his own, at a Girls aloud or "The saturdays" cocnert? Very dodgy

I went to a few divine comedy concerts alone and it was great. I looked on the forum, and met up with a few people beforehand. The only worrying moment was at the end of the night. I deicded to get the train back to Victoria...everyone else took the tube. I was the only person on Brixton train station late at night. Worried? me???

Who is it and where are they?

Oh, and yes - definitely go. I'm off to Download this year largely on my own (I know a couple of people who are going, but they're not close mates) as the other metalheads I still know want to go to Sonisphere this year.

Yep, get yourself along man. Can dance like a loon with gay abandon knowing that nobody knows who you are.

I voted no, but I guess if it was someone I REALLY wanted to see, then I might.

It's a bit like going to a restaurant on your own, I've done it, but it feels a bit strange.

Yes, what sort of guy would want to go to a venue crammed full of sweaty, excited late-20-something women?

I'd go see AFI alone, why not - lots of 18+ females?! Hey I'd actually go and see AFI with a random, like yourself, knowing that there, there would be lots ladies smile.

Go. Have fun. I saw Chimera alone in Portsmouth a few weeks ago, went alone... Didn't get home 'till the morning biggrin

Do it, I'm annoyed with myself for missing a gig next week - I spent ages trying to find a mate who would go along that by the time I did the gig had sold out!

I went to Madstock last year on my todd, if you can be "on your own" in a big park full of thousands of like-minded people.
