Music to dance to?
Discussion
Please help- getting married in July (and its all good)
missus wants a "first dance"- now as a rule i don't dance, but i'm going to make an exception here as i actually quite enjoy getting a groove on, but i'm usually self conscious- now i figure on my wedding day i'll be surrounded by friends so won't be such an issue!
Anyway, the problem is choice of song- missus is of course going to sentimental rubbish, whereas i want something interesting, light hearted and cheery.
we have been through loads of songs, but can't quite find one that suits
Suggestions?
[if we could avoid the usual wedding bashing as found in the lounge then i'd be grateful-ta]

On a fractionally more serious note, at the last wedding I went to they walked up the aisle to the sound of Apocalyptica's instrumental cover of Nothing Else Matters. That was pretty cool.
That is very cool!I went to a wedding reception and their first dance was to Avenged Sevenfold - Warmness on the Soul

But make sure you practice an appropriate routine beforehand.

I still live in the 18th century, so I would want something with strings and possibly a piano/harpsichord or maybe even flute.
It would depend on which piece of music I chose. I have hundreds of ideas.
Pretty much reflects our first dance music at our wedding. It would depend on which piece of music I chose. I have hundreds of ideas.
But, for the OP, in the spirit of PH, how about:
